Hilltop Gun Club was founded in 1947 in Marshfield, (named New Marshfield after the 1949 fire burnt up most of the downtown) by combat veterans who belonged to the Gilham – Frank VFW Post 8804.
The gun club produced 2 Olympic and 1 Pan AM winners. The Club has had ups and downs over the years and now that it has a stable permanent home, Club members are busy as ever creating new target stages, fire pits for camping, Direction and Stop Walls at the Steel Challenge Shooting Association Competition stages and now a shelter house for the United States Practical Shooting Association Competition area.
Hilltop Gun Club located at Pearlwood Road Albany Ohio is the only SCSA and USPSA firing range in the entire quadrant of Ohio.
Here you can see an area being carved out of the forest to build the shelter house.
