Coming Soon! Archery Range, Steel Challenge Shooting Association Competition & Gun Matches and United States Practical Shooting Association Competitions

1. Steel Challenge Shooting Association Competition is September 10 beginning at 12 noon. $20 registration fee.

2. Bob Lust, a renowned Target Stage designer and gun club operator, will be setting up an entire new area at Hilltop Gun Club for up and coming Gun Matches and United States Practical Shooting Association Competitions. Construction will begin immediately on a new Shelter house and gathering area for Bob’s competition customers. Expect more news in the coming weeks.

3. Club Vice President Tony Barnett and staff will be creating an archery trail starting September 1st. The archery target trail will be set up on a half mile long trail in the forest and will have 1 dozen targets of various sizes, types and shapes. This exciting news will bring tourists and resources, money and archery enthusiasts to Athens County.

Barnett had this to say about Hilltop Gun Club and Archery Range, “I asked the Club’s Chief Instructor where were the archery targets and stations and he explained that all of the archery systems were put in hold during Covid and that the club was now focused on building up the Steel Challenge and Practical Shooting Competitions, but that he was ready to get the archery program up and running.” With that being said we agreed to get busy and set up the Archery Target Trail as quickly as possible. At first we will use club made and donated targets so that we can gauge response, then will start bringing in and setting up 3D and moving targets. There really are no archery target stations in the entire Southern part of Ohio, other than State Parks. We aim to change that quickly.”

4. Steel Challenge Shooting Association competitors doing what they enjoy most. Shooting very accurately and very fast at Hilltop Gun Clubs August competition.
